Name: Yannick Warnier
Role: Web Services Manager and Latin American developer
Graduated in computer sciences in Belgium, Yannick moved to England where he started his career and collaborated for the first time in the development of Dokeos (TM) in 2004, quickly becmoing the lead developer of the platform globally. Currently, he's leading the efforts of the open-source e-learning platform Chamilo and is managing the Latin American branch of BeezNest. A Zend-certified PHP engineer with more than 9 years experience in programming, development remains his hobby.
Specifically, he's been considerably involved in Claroline, Dokeos(TM), Chamilo, Drupal, Dolibarr, Tulip IDE, phpLangEditor, MnoGoSearsh, NVU, OpenC2C and Widelands.
For him, it is a deep satisfaction to know that his engagement to the open-source software model is giving access to a lot of people to technology they wouldn't normally be able to afford. Through active promotion, he continuously increases the ranks of open-source software enthusiasts. He owes this engagement to his brother, who introduced him to free software at the right time.

Through his experience as administrator for huge institutions like the European Commission and his early involvement in the open-source software movement (back in 1995), Jérôme has become an impressive source of information for most newcomers or veterans in the Linux and UNIX system administration field. Developing a recent interest in NAS technology and the Nexenta operating system, he's a highly demanded technical person with a deep understanding of computer systems.
